My Film Idea-First Draft

Name- Z World
Genre Of Film-Horror.
Age Rating-15.
Target Audience-Teenagers,male and people who are energetic and love thrills. people who love ZOMBIES!
Location-A School, a abandoned house, and a forest! All because they are all Scary places (especially School!) and all based in Kent, England or Somewhere in Ireland.
Characters-
The main character is a young boy Jimmy Carroll ,16 who is in the middle of a zombie Apocalypse and has to kill his best friend.He survives has to survive 30 days until help will come, he is with his little brother...


Thomas Carroll-Brother to jimmy and josh...Hero!


Josh Carroll ,5 who is Jimmy's most favorite thing in the world and would defend Josh till death and is the brother of Jimmy, and is the son of Micheal Carroll and Michelle Carroll and is the brother to Sally Carroll who is turned into a walker (zombie) in the beggining of the film.


Arron Thompson is Jimmy's best friend and dies in the ending of the film.


Sandy Crab- Neighbour to the Carroll family she's really mean and so stuck up that she would do anything to survive.


Beginning - Starts with jimmy at school and shows the characters through jimmy's life.
And he returns home and finds his sister Sally sleeping (dead) on the sofa and looks really pale...So Jimmy and Arron walk in the house and jimmy tells Arron to wake her up as he puts the Xbox on... Suddenly you hear Arron screaming like a little girl, he ignores it as he thinks that he is waking up Sally by screaming so Jimmy Shouts 'cmon Arron i want to play FIFA!' 3 minutes later he walks down stairs and Sees Arron Blood all on the sofa. No sign of them both so He goes upstairs as he is in Shock and finds Josh behind him saying wheres 'Mummy'! They both go down stairs and see sally in the garden so Jimmy goes out there to see if she seen Arron, But ignores him and Jimmy turns her around and sees white eyes ( A symptom of the Zombie Disease) And Sally tries to bite Josh so Jimmy pushes her to the ground, picks up josh,Runs into the house and locks the Garden door, he turns around and sees jimmy and he tries to bite Josh so jimmy Pushes josh to the floor , grabs a kitchen Knife and slices Arron's Arm off, Grabs josh and Runs...


Middle-
Day 1 -Jimmy and Josh find a place to hide in the school Gym and lock the door.


Day 1-Jimmy and Josh find Thomas with a Hand gun and tell him to stay in the Gym with josh.
Day 2-Jimmy goes and gets supplies from the local shop...kills Every Zombie in his way.
Day 6-Jimmy finds Micheal and Michelle and a Relative of Jimmy's, Daniel, Takes them to the Gym and Tom ,Jimmy , And Dan go to a supermarket to find bedding.
Day 9- Jimmy sees Arron again but don't have it in him to kill him
Day11- The Gym is breached and Micheal is bitten by protected Michelle.
Day 11- They find another place in a abandoned Hotel and Stay there but there is Difficulties...
Day 12-Thomas and Dan Use Micheal's car to goto the shop but its over crowded by zombies so they go to a another one...Seems empty but someone shoots Dan.

What I have learned in the first unit of Media GCSE

I have learnt how to take single part from one image and put in it my own!
I also learnt how to remove wrinkles and spots from a image of a person and that anything and most things in the media  is Edited which means it may not be the EXACT image taken...I'm Smart :p

Film Marketing Research


The phrase  "Film marketing" means the planning and the madness of working out all the cost of things....I think!

Film posters include an image or a symbol to describe or show what the film is about.They should include a main colour which stands out from the background.This will grab the audience's attention and the image will be the Focus point.The title should be Bold and the description should be Short and Snappy and tell the audience what the film genre is e.g Comedy,Horror ect

E: Wording and images show SOME UNDERSTANDING of the product but haveLITTLE APPEAL to the audience. The final product is only PARTLY APPROPRIATE and shows LITTLE TECHNICAL SKILL. The audience have LITTLE IDEA OF WHAT TO EXPECT from the product. VERY FEW CONVENTIONS have been used, IF ANY.

The first TV ad to be broadcasted in the UK was on ITV on September 1995, Which advertised Gibbs SR Toothpaste.
The Current Record Price for and Ad in the UK is £250,000 for a 30 second slot after Britain's got Talent.
Advertising in the UK is Cheaper than Advertising in the USA because the population is smaller in the UK and the odd's of adverts on the USA television actually being sold is more.
For Digital TV Recorders ,such as SKY, have a massive impact on adverts because they gain a massive profit for selling slots for adverts. 




What Does Product Placement Mean?
'A form of advertising (usually not involving ads) in which branded products and services are noticeable within a drama production with large audiences. Product placements are presented in way that will generate positive feelings towards the advertised brand and are implemented, mentioned, or discussed through the program. This enables the audience to develop a stronger connection with the brand and provides justification for their purchase decision.' From http://www.investopedia.com

A few examples of Product Placement is like in a Comedy programme mike and molly they may eat a certain food with the packaging e.g Doritos.And in Action films ,such as James Bond, can involve sorts cars such as a Brand new Porsche.

My favorite part of the work was when, i put the light effects in and the flare.

i dislike the way in news reports they show us teenagers as if we are criminals and thugs . not all of us are like the boys who want to get kicks by mugging or showing up in front of their friends , and adults dont seem to think that they used to be us and think that adults stereotype us just because our age. Around about 1 in 5 boys have developed a new language called slang and 1 in 7 girls have developed it too. The news always say we wear hoodies because they dislike police and hang around in gangs.My view is that they wear hoodies because they dont like given dirty looks and people crossing the road because they think we are going to mug them for there Shoe's!We have respect for others but no one wants to be judged.

And yes it is true some hang around in gangs thinking they rule the streets and  people somtimes feel sorry for these people as if they ALL have family problems, Well its not because they all have family problems, its because they hang around with friends who want to fit in with everyone else and dont realise that everyone else is the people is the people in schools trying to focus and defend themselves from those who think its funny to ruin peoples lives by bullying other for their size,age,religion, or even if there soft and dont like to hurt anyones feelings . Tv never show the good side of kids they always show the frightning part, its like showing the ways of an unssucsessful marrigage, showing the break up without showing the time when they enjoyed being around each other.

Like Ben out of Eastenders , He's supposed to be 14 and yet hes got a violent anger and is gay ... is this how the programme sees us. that our fathers Sleeps around and his mum is no where to be seen.

And jake out of two and a half men, that hes fat and stupid is what they comment on in the programme and how his mother and father spilt up and abusing each other.

Films always show thier reasons why we are like the way we are, its almost if we are small to these people and it is said that telievision started this by showing films of gangs living the life having sports cars and having a very good looking wife but the ending is where the gang dies and the leader of the gang is wounded but still alive to countine you the next film.

In the newspapers,children are stereotyped alot like for example ,

If the news , and tv could stop sterotyping maybe we could get along . all of the above are negative and the only way we improve the future of child lives is if we put a age limit on films and keep it a resticted audience.the above signifies that children everywhere are being rasictly stereotype.
